Whole House RO Systems in Westwego, LA
A whole house RO system is a bigger commitment than an under-sink unit, and it makes sense in fewer homes than the sales pitch suggests. It earns its place on water with total dissolved solids well above 1,000 ppm, on brackish wells, or in a household that wants purified water at every tap.
Bear Water Purification connects Westwego, LA property owners with plumbers who size and install point-of-entry RO. The layout is different from a kitchen system. Water passes through pre-filtration, then a high-flow membrane rack, then into an atmospheric storage tank, often 300 to 500 gallons. A repressurization pump sends it back into the house, usually through a UV unit, because purified water sitting in a tank needs protecting.
Two numbers drive the design: daily household use in gallons and peak flow in gallons per minute. Undersize either one and the showers go weak at 7 a.m.
Purified water is also aggressive toward copper pipe, so a remineralization or pH correction stage goes in before the house plumbing.
